WE HAVE A WINNER… What’s next?!

To ALL – THANK YOU for taking on this challenge!  We hope you all enjoyed it and that the eyes of your heart have in fact been opened a little more to the awesome character of God, just how HUGE Jesus’ sacrifice was, and the EPIC story we are currently in the middle of.

Jen’s name was drawn out of the 35 entries we received.  Congratulations to ALL who completed this challenge!   Who knew it would be so difficult to consistently watch a short video once a day, right?!

If you haven’t completed the form to let us know how your challenge went, please click HERE.  We would love to hear your feedback!

So… what’s next?   Here are a few ideas to consider:

  1. Let’s READ the Bible in a year together!   The bible project videos do an amazing job of highlighting the key events in each book of the Bible, and they can’t possibly capture every twist and turn.   If your interest is now peaked, we highly recommend the Bible Project’s free App: “Read Scripture”.   It’s an app for your device that walks you through reading the entire Bible in chronological order one day at a time.  The Bible Project infuses various teachings, videos (including the ones you’ve now seen) along the way and has supplemental blogs and other resources.  It’s awesome!

For those interested in this option and want to journey together:

    1. Check out: http://www.readscripture.org , AND download the App!
    2.  Follow our blog:   https://biblechallengebibleinayear.wordpress.com/

  2. Since you just wrapped up the OT, maybe move along into the New Testament using the “read scripture ap” referenced above, or find the Bible Project NT videos on youtube.
  3. The Holy Bible App is fantastic and has TONS of lessons you can follow on various topics or books of the bible.   Do a little shopping and find one that is standing out to you.  Use the time and space you were using for our challenge to devote to studying this new material!  https://www.bible.com/app

Whatever it is you choose to do next, we pray this for you one last time:

EPHESIANS 1:15-19   Ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.

Love, Mike & Deanna (aka Team DeBrosse)

You all…WE MADE IT!!!

It’s a LOT harder to watch a short video every day than you thought it would be, right?

If you can honestly say you watched OR listened to EVERY video in this challenge…(it’s okay if you had to binge watch a few and if you skipped some of the bonus theme videos!),  please take a minute to fill out this electronic form for a chance to WIN!

You will also have an opportunity to provide comments.    (If you’re having issues with this form, please email us: babcoc24@homtail.com!)

Deadline for entries is TODAY, February 17th at midnight! The winner will be announced February 18th!

For those who are ready to take the momentum they now have going and are ready to take on another, and significantly larger challenge… We invite you to actually READ the entire Bible, word for word, over the course of year!

Our FINAL video is a theme video on Heaven and Earth.

We are wrapping up with this theme video because it’s a great way to transition us from what WAS accomplished, to what is YET to be accomplished.

Folks, TODAY in 2018 we are in the middle of an EPIC story, and the author of this story, the creator of the universe, THE one and only source of ALL that is GOOD has ensured that we have a book to help guide us in this story during our short time here on this earth.

AND JESUS.   Our Savior.  Our new King.  Do you guys read that different now?   Can you believe the all the prophecies about Him?  Are you leveled by what He did?  Guys – can you even begin to try to accept how much He loved us even though He knew exactly what a hot mess we are?   Have you ever felt the sting of rejection?  Can you bare the thought of the magnitude of rejection Jesus surrendered to out of love for us and commitment to what He was sent to do by His Father?

It changes how we understand what has happened, it changes how we understand what is happening today, and it calls us to live the remainder of our time here on this earth, in our country, in our state, in our town, in our neighborhood, and in our home differently.

We hope you enjoy this final theme video… Heaven & Earth.

Day 40: The book of Revelation (part 1) in the Bible

“Stuck in the middle with you… ”

So now, here we are… Feb 15, 2018.

We are currently living within this epic story.  Today, in this part of the story,  we are living in a sweet era in which we have personal access to the Holy Spirit, and can seek to be transformed by the renewing of our hearts and minds through our surrender to our good King.

We have been called to a life of freedom, adventure, justice, and sacrificial love.

And we have been given a job to do!

The Lord has called us to spread the gospel of who Jesus is, what He accomplished, and the hope, healing, and eternal freedom we have access to through Him.

However, the final chapter of this EPIC story is yet to be completed. The Kingdom of God is here now AND is not yet…

Only ONE book remains- REVELATION!

Day 40: Revelation – part 1

Day 38: The book of Acts (part 1) in the Bible

THE Messiah King arrived.   He was rejected and scorned as the prophets predicted, crucified on Passover by the people He was sent to redeem, and yet He never waivers on His mission to offer His life as the sacrifice needed to bring all of humanity into a right relationship with the Lord.

So… what’s next?  How does God’s covenant promise to bring hope and healing to ALL Nations ever going to happen?

We bring you the next crucial part of the EPIC STORY of the Bible…

Day 38: The book of Acts part 1

Day 37: The Book of Mark!

At this point in our journey, we have covered thousands of years worth of the story of God’s relationship with US, His most prized and beloved creation!

Over the past 6 weeks we have toured:

  • The creation of the world & humanity
  • The tragic decision humans made (and still make) to choose independence from the Lord.
  • The immediate action God takes to reconcile His relationship with His beloved creation.
  • The covenant God makes with Abraham to work through Abraham’s family to bless all nations.
  • A long list of imperfect heroes and evil villains God faithfully uses for His divine purpose.
  • The hard hearts of man, warnings of prophets, and hope that rests entirely in a prophesized messiah king who will give us new hearts that are capable of joyful obedience and worship of God alone, and a deep desire for justice and righteousness.

God’s faithfulness and our fallen state are certainly redundant themes, and it is clear humanity is in desperate need of a savior who can reconcile our relationship with our Father/Creator and give us “new hearts”.

We only have a few days left in our bible challenge and we are going to use them to wrap up the EPIC story that is depicted in the Bible.

Today we bring to you Mark’s summary of the LONG AWAITED arrival of our MESSIAH KING… JESUS!!!

Day 37:  The book of MARK!
